About us
Chips 4 Light provides bare LED dice, detector dice, and laser -chips, -bars, and -diodes of renowned manufacturers. We develop special optoelectronic devices as well as customized led modules, which can be furnished with individual ASICs on request.
The portfolio includes LED chips (bare dice) ranging from UV to infrared. These chips form the basis for miniaturized sensor solutions and enable highly precise design adaptations in the most confined spaces. In addition, Chips 4 Light develops complete LED modules and custom assemblies, including the high-performance Sevengine LED module, which delivers high output and offers flexible dual-channel control.
With its point-source LED light sources in blue, green, and red, Chips 4 Light offers high-precision point-source LEDs that are ideal for optical measurement systems, reference light sources, and miniaturized sensor systems.
In the field of detection, the company supplies photodiode and phototransistor chips specifically designed for applications in optical sensing, medicine, and industrial measurement technology.
The offering is complemented by a broad laser portfolio: laser chips, laser diodes, laser bars, and VCSELs, available from UV through blue, green, and red to well into the infrared range—suitable, for example, for LIDAR, distance measurement, material processing, and AR systems.
One of Chips 4 Light’s key strengths is high-precision LED chip sorting.
The company uses specialized die sorters that pick up individual chips directly from the wafer and sort them precisely according to customer-specific parameters—such as power and/or wavelength. This capability enables developers to obtain precisely those chip groups that are critical for precision optical systems, especially when standard components exhibit excessive variation. In addition, Chips 4 Light offers long-term storage in waffle or gel packs, thereby guaranteeing the stability of the sorting results and reliable transferability to mass production.

Phototransistor Chip
The detector series is designed for high performance consumer applications. This device is a silicon NPN phototransistor chip with high radiant sensitivity. It is sensitive to visible and near infrared light. Emitter is on top of the chip. High speed PIN Photodiode chip
Chips 4 Light detector series is designed for high perfor- mance consumer applications. This chip is a high sensitive and high speed PIN photodiode chip with 1.0 mm² sensi- tive area and with a peak sensitivity at 850 nm. Point Source LED
The point source LED is designed for applications, where an extremely small emission point without any bondwires is needed. The LED is produced by using a high efficiency LED flip chip mounted on a small ceramic AlN submount.The point source LED is easy to handle and IR-reflow solderable.The chip placement accuracy relative to the package is very high.
