Eplan Platform 2026
The Eplan Platform: a foundation for efficient engineering The Eplan Platform brings together software solutions for various engineering disciplines. Using piping and instrumentation diagrams, electrical schematics, detailed evaluations, control cabinet layouts in 3D and machine cabling in 3D, a complete digital twin of the automation systems for your machine or plant system is created in the process. Eplan is the standard for electrical engineering. The easy exchange of projects allows plant operators to work together with machine and plant system manufacturers as well as their control cabinet manufacturers using a standardised foundation of data. Having a free choice between graphic and data-oriented working methods makes it easy for different user groups to integrate Eplan into their everyday work. Electrical engineering designs can be easily standardised with flexible circuit templates and subcircuits. Recurring circuits can be stored in libraries and combined into new schematics specific to each current project.
Eplan Electric P8
Eplan Electric P8: More than ECAD Eplan Electric P8 is your solution for engineering and documenting projects in mechanical and plant engineering, automation, and control technology. Eplan Electric P8 offers you much more than traditional electrical CAD software: fast schematic design including component, device and cable data. Design-supporting functions let you create schematic-related documents on the fly, like auto connecting, online checks, translations and automatic evaluations. Template-based design, including graphical and technical variant management, make change management faster and easier. Your benefits include less effort for your day-to-day work and more time for more important engineering tasks. With Eplan Electric P8, you can also plan fluid power engineering systems and access our Collaboration Apps. These are advanced solutions that streamline engineering processes.
Eplan Preplanning
Eplan Preplanning: digitalized planning – right from the start Eplan Preplanning enables you to save engineering data early in the preplanning process. This data can include actuators and sensors for a plant system or machine. You can import data from external tabular sources and also enter plant system or machine overviews and graphical process and instrumentation diagrams. This allows you to quickly generate initial data sheets or specifications for materials procurement. You can also access the data collected in Eplan Preplanning to use in downstream planning phases in engineering. With Eplan Preplanning, you can carry out initial planning tasks for process automation or automation technology on Eplan Platform. Our Platform forms the basis for an integrated engineering environment.
Eplan Pro Panel
Eplan Pro Panel: Advancing from documentation to 3D layout Create a 3D digital control cabinet layout from the schematic data. Provide a comprehensive description of the enclosure design and manufacturing specification. Eplan Pro Panel is tailored specifically to the requirements of electrical design. It’s as easy to use in 3D as it is in 2D. With Eplan, digital data becomes the basis for the industrialization of your panel production. Using Eplan Pro Panel, you can design the digital twin of a control cabinet, control system or switchgear. This 3D model includes the positioning of the wiring ducts, DIN rails, components, drill holes and housing cut-outs along with the exact determination of wire lengths and routing paths. Create documents and provide true digital data for material procurement and production preparation with just a few clicks: including parts-, cutting- and wiring lists.
Eplan Harness proD
Eplan Harness proD: Wire harness design in 2D and 3D Use Eplan Harness proD to efficiently design and document your cabling on 3D mechanical models – the software allows you to combine your mechanical and electrotechnical designs. Optimise and digitalize typical cabling workflows, including documentation for preconfigured cable assembly. With Eplan Harness proD, you can enhance the digital twin with the relevant electrical engineering information early in the engineering process. This means the cabling and wire harness designs don’t depend on the availability of a mechanical prototype. The software is open to MCAD systems and can be seamlessly integrated into existing system landscapes.
Eplan Cable proD
Eplan Cable proD: Plug & play for cables Eplan Cable proD is a solution for quick and easy cabling of machines. The software digitises the corresponding designs and provides the information required for production and assembly. This means that prefabricated cables can also be used. Precision is required when constructing machines – all the way through to the final steps: if the cables don’t have the correct lengths or have been incorrectly routed, it is not uncommon for entire commissioning processes to have to be postponed. Eplan has therefore dedicated an entire software solution for planning the corresponding machine cabling: Eplan Cable proD. This also makes it easy to order prefabricated cables. Time-consuming trimming and offcuts are now a thing of the past.
Eplan Engineering Configuration
With Eplan Engineering Configuration (EEC), you can map your engineering templates using a modular system with interdisciplinary functional units. Based on this, EEC enables you to automatically generate engineering documentation from upstream configurators.
Eplan ERP/PDM Integration Suite
Digitalization and data consistency are the maxims of today! Our integrations and standard interfaces enable bi-directional data exchange with your ERP, PLM and PDM systems. For instance, transferring bills of materials saves both time and money. Complete Eplan project can also be automatically transferred into the PDM system. Inputting product data manually? Those times are long gone.
