Sarissa GmbH
About us
Sarissa GmbH offers high-performance sensor and software systems and is the market leader in the field of ultrasonic localization.
Sarissa's advanced ultrasonic-based assistance systems for millimeter-precise position determination and worker guidance enable error-free production and quality assurance during the value creation. They are used in production and assembly in the automotive, aerospace and other industries.
No errors. Flexible processes. Highest quality.
Sarissa PositionsBox Gen2 determines the position of hands and hand-held tools in three-dimensional space in real time. With the QualityAssist software, the system supports the worker in his activities with innovative guidance and laser visualization.
The Sarissa system can manage any number of screwdriving positions and any number of tools in real time. In addition, several workers can be guided simultaneously by a laser projector.
Products & services

Local Positioning System (LPS)
The Sarissa Local Positioning System, or LPS for short, combines sophisticated ultrasonic technology, easy-to-use application software and a powerful, open interface architecture. The LPS delivers maximum precision and versatility and can be used both as a powerful, flexible assistance system and as a precise 3D coordinate supplier for automation technology.

QualityAssist: The intelligent assistance system for precise position detection and worker guidance
QualityAssist combines position detection with a modern assistance system. Tool or hand positions are recorded in real time and linked to work instructions. This ensures that assembly steps are reliably guided, errors are avoided and quality is assured. Ideal for securing complex assembly steps, process monitoring and Industry 4.0 automation solutions. The worker assistance system has an intuitive, modern user interface and user guidance with wizard assistance functions.

Position detection PositionBox Gen2: xyz position data for systems with existing worker guidance
If the application already has worker guidance, the PositionBox software is used. It acts as an intelligent sensor for geolocation, communicating with the customer's existing worker guidance system. The Sarissa PositionBox transmits the spatial coordinates and thus the location of tools or the worker's hands to a higher-level control system (PLC).

Position determination PositionProvider Gen2: Software module for precise position detection and communication with PLC systems
PositionProvider Gen2 is a platform-independent software solution that ensures maximum process reliability in industrial manufacturing. It delivers precise 3D position information from tools or hands in real time via an interface and can be integrated directly into the system. Any number of positions can be set up; up to four of these can be requested simultaneously via the interface and returned with the corresponding data.

Sarissa Hand Module: Error-Free Picking and Handling Processes
The Sarissa hand module detects hand position during assembly, packaging and order picking with maximum precision, enabling a zero-error rate. The lightweight sensor technology (21–27 g depending on the model) is attached to the bandage or glove with a clip fastener, can be quickly recharged and offers a operating time of up to 12 hours.

Sarissa tool module: Locate any tool with millimetre precision
The Sarissa tool module detects the position of freely movable tools with millimetre precision and reliably prevents errors caused by incorrect positioning, faulty work sequences or insufficient dwell times. The smart, wireless ultrasonic transmitter can be easily attached to almost any tool, is quick to charge and offers an operating time of up to 12 hours. Numerous mechanical and software interfaces enable easy integration into existing systems.

Sarissa laser visualisation: representation of worker guidance as a laser projection
Sarissa's laser visualisation offers an innovative solution for displaying worker guidance as a laser projection. When connected to a high-quality laser projector, it opens up new applications by using coloured laser projections (e.g., red, green, yellow, or magenta) to visualise work steps. This technology enables sharp projection on the assembly surface, independent of room lighting, which reduces throughput time and simplifies operator guidance.
