Products & services

Retrofitting of traffic signals (DigiLight)
Many existing traffic signal systems operate independently and without networking. Our solution enables the seamless digitization of this existing infrastructure: A compact optical sensor detects traffic signal states-such as color changes or flashing-directly at the display. This non-invasive retrofit requires no manipulation of the electronics. Data is transmitted flexibly via USB or energy-efficiently via wireless communication (Bluetooth Low Energy, Open Thread).
3DHandSENS
Textile sensors open up new possibilities for integrating sensor technology into movable and flexible applications. The Bionic RoboSkin is the result of dedicated research and development: by embedding sensory elements and electrical connections into three-dimensional textile composites, robust, adaptable solutions are created for demanding environments. Thanks to moisture-resistant connections and highly compact modules, the sensor technology is suitable for applications ranging from underwater robotics to medical technology, such as in the context of a 3D-printed exoskeleton.

Sensor networks using Openthread (AdaPEdge)
In modern electronics manufacturing, controlling environmental and production parameters is key to quality. AdaPEdge makes it possible to digitize existing systems with manageable effort. At the heart of this innovation is the Secure Smart Sub-Edge Module (S³EM)—a six-layer, ARM-based multilayer module measuring just 22 x 20 x 1 mm³. The third hardware generation already integrates 9-axis sensor technology (gyroscope, magnetometer, acceleration), precision temperature sensor (±0.08 °C accuracy), as well as three switchable antennas for robust 2.4 GHz wireless connectivity. The unique feature: This module includes interfaces for connecting external sensors and multiple level converters, allowing sensors with different digital levels to be connected. As a module, the assembly can also be mounted on a carrier board. The closed ecosystem of sensor mesh and edge module can be integrated into virtually any existing manufacturing IT system via MQTT. Added value is created especially when retrofitting systems with limited digitalization: AdaPEdge makes process deviations visible early on, detects substandard or counterfeit materials, and links quality metrics with environmental and machine data.
