J1-Inverter

With the growing demand for tailored automation solutions, the J1 provides essential motor control capabilities with a focus on affordability and performance. It is particularly suited for applications such as conveyors, mixers, small fans, pumps and basic material handling systems in sectors including food & beverage, general manufacturing, agriculture and HVAC.

Despite its compact size and accessible price point, the J1 delivers functionality typically expected in higher-tier models. The J1 inverter offers dependable motor control in a wide power range, from 0.4 to 2.2 kW in single-phase 200V and from 0.4 to 3.7 kW in three-phase 400V. Its robust design includes features such as V/f control, Dynamic Torque Vector Control, built-in PID control, and overload protection, delivering reliable operation in demanding conditions. The unit also supports automatic deceleration, a sleep mode for pump and fan applications, and slip compensation to ensure stable torque even at low speeds.

Installation is simplified thanks to the inverter’s compact IP20 housing, which allows side-by-side mounting to reduce cabinet space. Connectivity is handled via standard Modbus RS-485, and the J1 includes both digital and analog I/O options to suit a wide range of basic machine control needs.

To support both existing and new customers, the J1 can be programmed using OMRON’s Sysmac Studio as well as a newly developed, free-of-charge configuration tool called J1 Editor. This intuitive software offers quick parameter editing and an easy setup process.

The J1 is certified for CE, UKCA, UL/cUL, EAC and RoHS compliance and is suitable for a variety of installations across indoor industrial settings.
