COMX 90CA-RE - Communication module SPI - Real-Time Ethernet Slave
The comX 90 communication module has been designed for integration into field devices to provide network connectivity, for example, to drives or robots. All communication tasks are executed autonomously within the module – independently of the processor of the target device. Process data is exchanged via an SPI interface. NRP H90 - netX 90 Chip Carrier
Ultracompact slave interface for secure field and cloud connectivity netRAPID 90 is the rapid and secure alternative to a slave interface developed by the customer. The netX90 Chip Carrier is soldered to the host system in the SMD production process like a standard QFP part. In addition to the proven and flexible multiprotocol processor for all common communication and IIoT protocols, netRAPID 90 also has a Cortex M4 application processor and is available in different memory sizes . netX 90 - Smallest multiprotocol SoC
With the rise of Industrial IoT, the topic Security became a key technology for cyber-physical systems. For that purpose, Hilscher developed the next generation of network controllers based on the success of the netX 51/52. The netX 90 is the first building block of this new family. It convinces with its high integration density, optimized performance, improved power loss and is perfectly suitable for industrial applications with smaller form factors. The increasing complexity of System-on-Chips (SoC) and the enormous costs for software development and maintenance, associated with multiprotocol-capable real-time industrial communication, turned into market requests that promote solution-oriented concepts. The perfectly harmonized interplay of hardware and software reduces the development time with the netX 90 and enables a faster “time to market”. The netX SoC design combines two separate system paradigms in one tiny package, one CPU-kernel for real-time industrial communications and one for industrial applications. Evaluation board
NSHIELD 90-RE, the successor of NSHIELD 52-RE, is a netX 90 SoC based evaluation board of the netX family. Since its host interface connectors are compatible with Arduino Uno, plugging NSHIELD 90-RE into STM32 Nucleo-64 and Nucleo-144 development boards is easy. NSHIELD 90-RE enables the user to connect a microcontroller-based application to many relevant Real-Time Ethernet industrial networks with first-class real-time capabilities, such as PROFINET, Ethernet/IP, EtherCAT, etc. The netX 90 is implemented as a "companion chip" to the STM32. The netX 90 SoC architecture has been designed to meet the highest requirements on flexibility, determinism, and performance regarding multi-protocol capability and low latency for short cycle times. The heterogeneous multi-core architecture has an ARM processor core that is coupled with a flexible communication subsystem (xC) and supports many industrial applications. The protocol stack runs independently on the netX 90 SoC and requires only little memory and almost no CPU resources of the host microcontroller. Evaluation board
Since 2-port industrial Ethernet devices are flexible and redundant and 1-port devices are suitable for simple, inexpensive and space-saving use, Hilscher also offers LFW (loadable firmware) solutions for the netX 90 as a single-endpoint communication device. The NXHX 90-SPE evaluation board allows users to evaluate the single-endpoint function as a rapid prototyping platform for all important physical layers. The NXHX 90-SPE evaluation board can be used directly with Hilscher's netX Studio CDT. netX Studio CDT is a free Eclipse-based IDE (Integrated Development Environment) that contains everything required to configure, develop, and debug embedded applications.
