Using the perforated edges on the specially designed label rolls, the printer can retract the material to be printed in a controlled manner. After a quick and easy ribbon change, the next color can be printed precisely onto the label. This allows for in-house production of multi-colored labels, eliminating the need for outsourcing. Lengthy ordering processes are avoided, and the labels can be applied immediately.

The printer also has a built-in plotter that cuts the printed labels into any desired shape. By printing the same color area multiple times, hundreds of thousands of different color shades can be created. The ink cartridges are refilled with refill rolls once the ribbon is depleted.
