The new Blue e+, Blue e+ S cooling units and Blue e+ chillers use R1234yf refrigerant with a GWP ≤ 1. This means they already meet future legal requirements and significantly reduce global warming potential compared to conventional refrigerants. At the same time, integration remains simple: the units are designed for 1:1 replacement and feature the same dimensions, cut-outs and connection points as existing Blue e+ systems. Another key benefit is operational safety. The units are maintenance-free, designed in compliance with relevant standards and suitable for worldwide use thanks to low refrigerant charge volumes and an optimized safety concept. For operators, this means lower risk, greater planning reliability and no additional protective measures in standard applications. Integrated drive technology for dynamic, human-like movements Into the future of drive technology with new dimensions and features for robotics: The new BXI is the most powerful integrated drive system in the FAULHABER portfolio thus far and was developed to meet new requirements of modern robotic applications. Human-like movements place extremely high demands on precision, force and dynamics––from delicate grip movements to powerful, coordinated joint movements. This is where the FAULHABER BXI steps in. The internal rotor motor of the 9317 BXI G series combines robustness and exceptional compactness and defines new standards for integrated drive systems in robotics. With a maximum torque of up to 20 Nm, it enables dynamic movements, fast reaction times and a highly precise movement control. The motor covers a voltage range of up to 50 V and, thanks to the available interfaces and an installation length of just 34 mm, is easy to integrate in existing system architectures. The BXI is thereby especially well suited for applications in which every millimeter, every gram and––above all––high power density are decisive, e.g., as a compact joint drive in humanoid robots. Maximum performance with minimum space requirements The drive system forms a functional unit made up of motor, integrated stepped planetary gearhead and high-resolution encoder. Its special strength lies in the systematic integration: maximum performance with minimum space requirements. The flat aluminum housing offers corrosion resistance and also supports optimized thermal dissipation. The internal rotor construction with 21 pole pairs, grooved stator and iron-core winding ensures a low cogging torque and a high torque density. The integrated absolute encoder with 15-bit SSI, line driver and compensation algorithm performs the precise positioning, is resistant to interference and makes a significant contribution to the reliability and accuracy of the entire system.

Multiprotocol capability provides flexibility in the choice of controller The field-compatible SolutionBlock IO-Link master makes system digitalisation more convenient than ever: The multiprotocol capability allows free selection of PROFINET or EtherNet/IP as fieldbus, which makes connection to different controllers more flexible and reduces stock-keeping. OPC UA server and IODD interpreter integrated in the master In addition, the integrated OPC UA server and the additional IoT port ensure an uncomplicated, direct connection to the IT level. Thanks to the integrated IODD interpreter, the sensor data is converted into readable information directly in the IO-Link master, making software-supported data evaluation even easier. Data reduction thanks to the moneo configure plug-in The moneo configure plug-in makes it possible to select and reduce the cyclic data of an IO-Link device. The SolutionBlock IO-Link master receives all process values from the IO-Link devices, but only forwards the selected information to the controller. This significantly reduces cyclic data communication on the fieldbus.

Frameless motors have only two main components - stator and rotor - in common with conventional motors. This is a decisive advantage when it comes to tailor-cut design and individual integration into customer-specific systems. Due to the direct integration into machines or device assemblies and the hollow shaft concept with cable, compressed air, vacuum, fiber optic and laser feedthroughs, frameless motors require very little space. At the same time, they are highly efficient and durable and run stably and reliably in quiet operation. The frameless motors are also highly precise. They are backlash-free during high-precision and high-speed operations and have an extremely high level of positioning accuracy. The 6-axis FTS force/torque sensor detects process forces and torques with a high resolution and precision. This allows quality controls, process monitoring or demanding assembly and machining processes to be repliably implemented. With protection class IP67, nine sizes and an interface box with interfaces for EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT and PROFINET, the FTS can be used flexibly and is easy to integrate into existing systems. Multiple-joint hinges GN 7237 are installed on the inside of flaps, hatches and doors to save space and ensure protection against vandalism. The hinges have a maximum opening angle of 180°, which provides optimal accessibility and avoids the blocking of escape routes by open doors, for example. Use of this hinge type leaves housing exteriors free of attachments that do not match the design or that should be avoided entirely in the interests of fast and easy cleaning. Multiple-joint hinges are generally used in pairs, meaning that one L type and one R type are used per opening. For higher loads, e.g. from large flaps or hatches, these can be supplemented with additional hinges of any type.
